I’ll be at Halfway African American Cemetery on Saturday morning, June 18, to sell and sign my new book, Black Antietam: African Americans and the Civil War in Sharpsburg. This is a fundraiser: $4 from every book sold will go to the Friends of Halfway Cemetery, to help clean up and preserve this historic site. (For book purchases, I’ll take cash, check, Venmo, or Paypal. The book price is $21.99.)

Drop by any time between 9 a.m. and noon. If you haven’t visited the Cemetery before, be aware that it’s not visible from the street. Walk around either side of 11025 Clinton, through the gate into the backyard, across the backyard, and through a second gate into the Cemetery. Don’t be shy! We’ll be happy to show you around the Cemetery too, if you like.
